Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will support the ACWA Government Field Office (GFO) at the BGCAPP. The GFO is responsible for overseeing the system contractor as they systemize and operate the BGCAPP.

Other Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform document reviews, technical research, observe, monitor, and provide technical input regarding systems contractor planning and execution of systemization, operations, and closure.
  • Provide fact based technical input to the Government in evaluating whether systemization and operating requirements are being met by the systems contractor design and if they are incorporated into systemization plans and procedures.
  • Monitor systems contractor progress with plans, procedures, and personnel and make recommendations to the Government with regard to preparations for proper commissioning, start up, maintenance, and operation of the electrical power systems. Witness testing for startup and commissioning of the primary and secondary power systems.
  • Provide technical input and assistance developing independent cost estimates and conducting evaluation of technical and cost proposals submitted by the systems contractor.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams and Working Groups related to the control systems in the plant.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 

Requires a minimum of a B.S. degree in a recognized field of engineering, plus approximately seven (7) years concentrated experience with at least 5 of those being in chemical demilitarization process equipment and automation controls or equivalent experience in a similar industrial facility including work with industrial power and utility systems, material handling, and industrial automation.

 

Strongly Preferred:

Four year degree in electrical engineering;
