Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Test Services is looking for a motivated Motor / Air Operated Jr Valve technician.  Teledyne is a valve testing and maintenance company.  The person should be familiar with Valve maintenance at electric power plant and complete Teledyne’s Actuator Maintenance training..  This person must be capable of assisting in maintenance activities on Limitorque or Fisher actuators. This is a Part Time Temporary that requires traveling to power plants around the country.  Busy travel time will mostly be in the spring and fall, but not limited to.  Most jobs will be at nuclear power plants that will require the persons back ground screening and drug testing. 

Qualifications

 

 

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:   

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

 

  • Successfully complete Teledyne’s actuator maintenance training or equivalent
  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to learn
  • Be able to take direction from senior members
  • The ability to work well within a small group
  • The ability to use tools and equipment safely

 

• Have a resume accepted by plant personnel
• Pass an extensive background check
• Pass Drug and alcohol screenings
• Complete all required courses offered by the Plant with 80% or better scores
 Scores of less than 80 will receive one (1) re-try.  Failure of this will result in non-acceptance to plant.
 
Must be willing to travel throughout the US for months at a time, spring and/or fall.  Job lasts approx. 3 weeks at a site with a 72 hour week with either day or night shift.
