Summary Assemble specific components of analytical instruments as well as the instruments themselves by interpreting blueprints, schematics, and bills of material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interpret and work from electromechanical blueprints, schematics, drawing, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
Perform low to moderate electronic, electrical/mechanical assemblies and/or final assemblies requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools, soldering equipment, volt meters and other related test instrumentation.
Capable of troubleshooting and replacing defects of finished products
Capable of following safety procedures in the use and handling of flammable and hazardous chemicals required to meet all cleanliness specifications.
Must be able to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training specifically reading and understanding blueprints and work instructions; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
