We are currently looking for a temporary entry level Tester for our Environment Test Lab. The Tester operator will work on environmental testing of electro-mechanical components.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • Perform Vibration testing, Shock test, Vibration Random test on sealed Relays.
  • Perform Internal Moisture, Screening Run-In (Miss Test), and Burn-In on sealed relays.
  • Perform all Environmental Testing as required.
  • Complete inspection reports, history logs, and associated paperwork.
  • Will be responsible to ensure quality of process and measurements are acceptable in accordance with the specifications.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature
  • Computer entries, such as time labor and job assignments for inventory control


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • minimum 6 months previous related experience or training
  • Candidate must have an understanding of basic reading, writing, addition and subtraction skills.
  • The qualified candidate must be able to read and understand the acceptance test procedures, assembly drawings and procedures, safety guidelines, and carry out instructions as indicated.
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written) to inform/advise/provide feedback and able to work in a team environment.
  • Experience in working with measuring and test equipment, such as Vibration and Miss Test Consoles.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to operate the RT250, and RT290 Tester.
  • Must have good eye and hand coordination, dexterity to assemble small parts, and ability to work with a microscope.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will occasionally stand/walk, be required to talk or hear for instruction or feedback; carry or lift up to 10lbs. Will frequently be required to sit, use hands to fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • VISION REQUIREMENTS: will be required to use close vision (20 inches or less), use distance vision (clear vision at 20 ft plus), be able to distinguish depth (ability to judge 3D distances and spatial relationships) with the ability to adjust focus as needed

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: manufacturing environment, occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to fumes/radiation/vibration at safe levels when used for testing. Noise level is moderate.

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person
