Position Summary and Responsibilities

Summary: This position is responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as test and troubleshoot of RF and optical assemblies to component level.

 

Key Functions of Job:

  • Test electronic modules and Assemblies
  • Debug electronic assemblies to the component level
  • Maintain records, logs, and documentation
  • Theoretical understanding of RF and optical circuitry including using schematics, drawings, and technical summaries to diagnose failures and offer root cause solutions.

 

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must have knowledge in diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, signal attenuators, source meters, tuners, voltmeters, and software tools
  • Be able to troubleshoot to electronic component level
  • Must have RF product troubleshooting and testing skills to component level
  • Must have RF product tuning at the component level
  • Optical test and troubleshooting to the component level
  • Must be flexible with work schedule including working weekends and extended shifts.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours at a time
  • Capable of following established procedures and work instructions
  • Must be clear and articulate with technical issues to peers and up-links



Educations & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent technical training for testing and experience with troubleshooting RF and Optical circuitry
  • A minimum of three years experience in the field of work
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

 

Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:

  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance
