Position Summary and Responsibilities

Configuration management of commercial and defense industry product control documentation

Prepares configuration management plans and procedures

Ensures execution of scrap or rework material stock dispositions (material impounds and requests for manufacturing orders)

Execute effective and timely Configuration Board process

Preparation of Configuration Board agendas and capturing action items and board minutes

Evaluates and selects configuration management tools and standards

Occasionally perform “light-duty” drafting (drawing changes/corrections) under supervision of draftsperson

Prepares engineering change request or release orders for editorial or minor changes to documents

Update manufacturing documentation under supervision of Engineer

Update BOM’s and routing in MRP/ERP system

May be called upon to perform Document Control functions (release of new drawings, update of document control logs, generation of document packages for Production)

Researches historical part drawings for determination of export control classification

Must be a U.S. Person or U.S. Citizen


  • BSME or BSEE; Engineering coursework toward degree acceptable;  Engineering Technology coursework toward degree acceptable
  • Minimum 0-2 years experience

  • Good analytical skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • MS Word; MS Excel; AutoCad; SolidWorks required

  • Must be organized and flexible
  • This position will regularly work in excess of 40 hours weekly

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when needed for workload is also required
