Working under the direction of the Procurement Supervisor, the potential candidate will be responsible for researching, analyzing, identifying, and populating the source, pricing, and availability of various-sized, complex Bills of Material (BOM). The primary requirement of this effort is to identify the overall price and availability of the material required primarily for incoming proposal efforts received from our customers. Requires frequent communication with many suppliers, as well as various internal organizations such as engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and business development.
Education and Experience:
Requires a B.S. degree, generally in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent field, and two years of professional experience performing business analysis.
The candidate must be proficient with the entire Microsoft Office software package. Exceptionally strong skills with Microsoft Excel are considered a top priority and an absolute must for all applicants.
The preferred candidate would possess a minimum of two years experience in BOM comprehension, pricing and procurement with a BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
An understanding of lookup tables, advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc. are considered a strong asset. Experience with Epicor and Costpoint is a plus.
The potential candidate must be a self-starting, detail-oriented, self-sufficient employee willing to go the extra mile in a demanding environment that requires quick-turn processing. In order to reach the required level of performance required for this position, the candidate must be able to listen closely, follow instructions, ask questions, and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly. Previous experience in a hands-on material environment (i.e., inventor management, receiving inspection, manufacturing planning, etc.) will prove beneficial. The ability to recognize and understand data trends and read and comprehend drawings, specifications, test procedures, etc. is much desired.
