Provides support to manufacturing and other departments by directing and performing preventive maintenance and repair to company equipment.
Assures satisfactory condition of production and other equipment by performing periodic inspections per PM schedule, and either correcting or reporting deficiencies.
Assures that equipment operating characteristics are consistent with the manufacturer's specifications by adjusting, replacing or repairing worn parts and components.
Schedule equipment repairs by coordinating downtime with department managers.
Initiate repairs on down equipment in a prompt manner, or by directing and assisting Maintenance Mechanics (training), in a way that minimizes downtime.
Assists Manager in maintaining files of machine repair and preventative maintenance data by documenting repair and maintenance performed, and parts required.
Provide materials needed to perform equipment repairs by sourcing required items, or designing and fabricating replacements.
Maintains a safe and organized work area by observing all safety policies and procedures and maintaining area as directed.
Assists in achieving the goals of Isco by performing other duties as assigned.

In-depth knowledge of machining skills and production equipment operation usually acquired with two years of technical school or equivalent education or experience.
Requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of metal working, injection molding, and other electro-mechanical production machinery which can usually be acquired with five or more years of repair and maintenance experience of similar machinery.
Must be able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools performing complex operations with tight tolerances.
Must be able to comprehend detailed schematics, shop drawings and manufacturer's specification manuals, and communicate oral and written instructions.
Requires occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work is regularly performed in an inside environment with occasional exposure to outside environment and atmospheric conditions.
Additional hazardous waste management duties may be required (Emergency Spill Responder).
