Position Summary and Responsibilities



Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and forecasts by compiling information and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. Responsible for working with CETAC’s management team to create and manage both short term and long term budgets and forecasts, as well as working with Teledyne corporate to provide any financial information that is requested. Working with group finance team on generating and submitting reports, budget and expense tracking, month and quarter end close and other accounting duties as deemed necessary.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Prepares financial statements, monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Establish and maintains proper accounting and internal control procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate preparation of monthly account reconciliations.
  • Working with CETAC executive team to compose and review annual budgets.
  • Interact with internal auditors in completing annual audits.
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report and report significant issues to management
  • Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
  • Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets
  • Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with statistical and routine reports
  • Work with corporate to gather and prepare year end information for tax reporting.
  • Prepares reports on a monthly basis, including forecasts, operation expense reports and others



Knowledge and Skill Requirements:


  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Sound judgment and good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate through various types of computer software




Three to five years experience in accounting, preferably in a large public company setting. Manufacturing experience will be helpful






BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
