Design of automated test software and hardware for microwave components and assemblies used in military and space applications. Participation in entry level design and development of microwave components and assemblies is included. Must have an understanding of electronic circuitry related to the theory and practice of microwave amplifier and frequency conversion, and of digital interface and control particularly in conjunction with microwave RF circuitry. Must be familiar with FPGA and CPLD technology. Must be able to develop software and firmware to control digital functions as well as be able to create circuit schematics.
Supports Analog and Digital Control Functions Group. Supports design engineering needs for special control functions, particularly in integrated microwave assembly products. Designs, builds, tunes, tests, and documents analog and digital control circuits. Participates in product review meetings.
