Position Summary and Responsibilities

 

Position Summary:

Defines test processes, procedures, equipment strategy and maintains documentation for production infrastructure.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Defines test processes and establishes test strategies, manages test development, implementation, enhancements and training
  • Responsible for driving and integrating a full test plan for multiple products
  • Responsible for test application to verify product performance compliance. Ensures accuracy and precision of test equipment
  • Identifies and leads improvements of test equipment and process accuracy including automation and efficiency enhancements
  • Gather yield and performance characteristics critical for product improvement. Suggests product improvement and cost reduction efforts.
  • Design and implements new tests required to characterize products
  • Plans and organizes test execution flow to ensure lowest cost and effective execution
  • Primary liaison for customer product issues. Responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting and leading the repair on all customer returns
  • Identifies new potential feature sets from discussions with existing customers
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when needed for workload
  • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

 

  • Ability to work independently in a results-oriented environment
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving ability; ability to create efficient solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Cross platform scripting languages including Python, Perl, TCL and equivalent scripting language. Work with software in embedded systems with a focus on products and product support.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, computers, optics, cameras, F#s, imagery, electro optical system performance
  • Ability to verify and validate test systems and support debugging/tuning of new cameras and supporting electronics. Diagnosing computers, Ethernet protocols and connectivity issues.
  • Specific technical and administrative knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the job competently (i.e. semiconductor knowledge, computer software, etc.)
  • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

 

Education and/or Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent with eight (8) plus years of experience
  • Proven track record of at least two (2) years in testing imaging devices
