Position Summary and Responsibilities

ASSEMBLER

Should have some electronic skills, including soldering and other wiring techniques. Strain gage installation and operation experience preferred, but willing to train the right person. Knowledgeable in the use of general-purpose lab and test equipment. Some working knowledge of production prints and schematics, electrical components, troubleshooting techniques and problem solving ability. Excellent mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and computer literacy are necessary. Require high school diploma and 1-2 years’ experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician.  Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES

 

Cable and wire harness buildup and preparation for various products.  Tools used include small hand tools and soldering equipment.

Install and wire strain gages on transducer (per detailed instructions).  Tools used include small hand tools and soldering equipment.

Good soldering and other wiring techniques.

Excellent manual dexterity.

Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, self-initiative and ability to work effectively with little direction and/or few guidelines.

Basic math skills and computer literacy are required.

Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.

Familiarity with standard laboratory operating procedures and safety practices.
