The Sr Technical Spec (Programmer) provides technical leadership in interpretiting SolidWorks 3D Models for translation into CNC programs. This includes designing fixtures and tooling, as required.
Works under the supervision of a or under the direction of a Technical Manager. Provides project direction over a group of lower level technical and support personnel.
Assignments in this classification require a high degree of specialization and practical knowledge, and a demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership to a group performing in a specialty area. Extensive knowledge and experience are generally used as a primary qualification for rendering technical decisions and services.
Provides technical leadership, guidance, and work direction for subordinate personnel, furnishing them with general instructions as to the scope and objectives of assignments. Makes work assignments based on individual capabilities and fluctuations in work load and priorities.
Reviews drawings, parts lists, specifications, and technical reports to assure quality products are produced. Assesses the impact of engineering changes and monitors enginering documentation.
