Position Summary and Responsibilities

This position is for an experienced, well-rounded developer with a strong knowledge and proven record in the field of relational databases (Oracle), object oriented programming and web development (.NET). It requires solid understanding of ERP system (IFS Applications), experience in extracting requirements from the users, and mapping the data requirements to the IFS database, creating extract scripts to create the data extract files for input into IFS.

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 4 years of development experience with IFS Version 7.5 or higher

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge in relational databases (ERD, primary and foreign keys, tables, views, indexes etc.)
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle
  • Good understanding of basic concepts of inventory management and supply chain management (parts, customer orders, sales quotes, invoicing, inventory transactions, purchasing, demand planning, finance etc.)

ERP - IFS Applications:

  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Solid functional understanding of main IFS modules

Oracle Database:

  • Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS (10g and above)
  • PLSQL knowledge (development, debugging)
  • SQL expert (writing complex and efficient queries)
  • Proven record of Oracle-based projects

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good listener capable of extracting technical requirements from the users
  • Excellent communicator (both with business owners and IT personnel)
  • Strong team player willing to share their knowledge with the rest of the team
  • Excited about learning new functional and technical areas
  • Passionate about their job, taking pride in their work
  • Capable of thinking outside of the box
  • Willing to work independently in unknown territories
  • Respectful towards users and other team members
