Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) is leveraging our modeling and simulation (M&S) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) expertise to develop and sustain the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF). This effort integrates Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) and digital representations from each of the BMDS program elements into a system that accurately represents the performance of fielded Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) equipment against a variety of threats in realistic environments.

 

OSF is looking for an Engineering Project Manager with the right composition of knowledge, experience, spirit and drive, to join a dynamic team that develops M&S framework software for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Work closely with management to define program scope, goals and deliverables; communicate with customer and other stakeholders on an ongoing basis to effectively communicate program expectations.
  • Work with engineering teams to manage software development from beginning to end.
  • Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans; and coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and subcontractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

 

Qualifications

Education:

 

Requires a BS degree in a recognized field of engineering.  Normally requires approximately sixteen years of applicable professional experience or a combination of graduate study and experience.  However, assignments are primarily made on the basis of demonstrated capabilities and reputation in the area of specialization.

 

Requirements:

 

Candidate must hold an active DoD security clearance. Must have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to communicate with program stakeholders, team members, and subcontractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. The candidate must be a team player, persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in leading and/or managing engineering teams. The candidate must have experience/familiarity with the BMDS.

 

Should have knowledge of earned value management and process quality standards associated with CMMI level 3.
