Assembly of R&D and high complexity TWT sub-assembly components (Electron Gun, Collector, I/P and O/P Circuit). Extensive experience and skill level in standard vacuum product joining techniques such as TIG welding, laser welding, spot welding, Bell-jar brazing, furnace brazing is required. The employee will work closely with R&D Engineers to establish the best assembly practices and participate in the documentation to capture the techniques and criteria. Experience in methods for capturing (spreadsheet, SPC) and interpreting (Six-sigma problem solving tools) assembly and process data will be a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of understanding of the assembly and process variables that affect the performance and failure modes of a TWT.
Blueprint interpretation and a strong comprehension of GD&T is necessary.
Computer fluency. Window interface, Excel
Able to lift up to twenty pounds. Able to sit for up to 30 minutes and use small hand tools and work under a microscope.
High school diploma / general education degree (GED) and 6+ years’ directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two Year Technical College degree preferred.
