Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Technologies, Inc. is seeking a .NET Developer to join our corporate information technologies team. The .NET Developer is responsible for analysis, design, development, and support of .Net applications. The successful applicant will be detail oriented, self-motivated, and organized with an attitude of excellence and integrity and able to work as an integral part of a team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Uses Microsoft .NET languages to support .NET applications for finance, manufacturing, human resources, and other business units
  • Works independently and collaboratively to evaluate user needs to support business strategies and solve business problems
  • Evaluates requests for application enhancements and trouble-shoots reported issues
  • Helps users define application requirements and provides solutions to enable them to perform their job functions better
  • Assists with documentation and user training
  • Adheres to standards and provide documentation in support of SOX audits as necessary
  • Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans
  • General Support – The position will have support responsibilities specific to basic applications problems. Support will require troubleshooting applications and may investigate related server and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
  • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines

Competencies/Skills                                               

  • Proficiency with at least one Microsoft .NET language (C#, Visual Basic) is required.
  • Proficiency with T-SQL, PL/SQL, or ANSI SQL is required.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools (Cognos, SSRS, Crystal Reports, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience working with modern ERP systems (Costpoint, Epicor, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Experience in a government contracting environment is desirable.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 0-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Other Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is desirable.
