Teledyne Microwave Solutions is hiring a Senior Digital Engineer dedicated to the design of digital hardware, firmware, and software in support of our RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave subsystems. It involves:

• Firmware development for FPGAs in Verilog (Xilinx Vivado)
• Software development for microcontrollers in C
• Familiarity with basic digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, RS422, RS232, UART
• Generating hardware schematics and direct PCB layout (Altium)
• Developing test plans and support hardware troubleshooting
• Resolving technical problems during test and integration phases.
• Generating and review technical product documentation, including written documentation instructing customers in the use of delivered products
• Usage of basic test equipment for analysis and debugging of analog and digital circuits: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and function generators

Bachelors in Electronic Engineering (Masters preferred). 5 years relevant experience. Must be able to handle a wide variety of tasks, working on multiple projects in a fast paced development environment. Ability to interface with the customer, manufacturing, test, and technical subcontract technical personnel. Knowledge of device and device technology. Skilled in the design, validation and characterization digital circuits and firmware. Good written and verbal communication skills and a strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible and motivated team player who is able to prioritize tasks, and communicate progress and issues effectively. Up to 5% travel to customer sites for either technical interchange meetings, or to debug hardware installed in customer systems. Ability to work weekends and evenings when needed for workload. Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
