Our skilled trades include Tool and Die Makers, Instrumentation, Multi-Craft , Machinists, Pipe-fitters, Carpenters, Electricians, Work Coordinators, EH&S, Welders, Preventative Maintenance Technicians , Planners, Glass Blowers and others.

Entry Level Carpenter Support position includes constructing and repairing structural assets and equipment in the facility and lab space.

 

• Builds, repairs and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework and trim, including painting
• Provide support to Instrument, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians
• Maintain a secure and safe work environment

• Work with power saws, and electric tools

• Use blueprint drawings to determine dimensions

• Move and assist in transportation of furniture and equipment.

• Set up and break down of existing framework, cabinets and counters

• Must be able to maintain work logs

• Uses power tools, tape measurements and hand tools efficiently 

• Prepares materials used and works accordingly with other tradesmen

• Other duties may be assigned.

   

High School diploma and/or 2 years of experience in a learning capacity assisting and performing carpentry and  mechanical  work under the direction of an experienced tradesman. Apprentice Carpenter a plus

• Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment
• High standard of integrity and professionalism
• Must have basic computer skills
• Candidate must possess strong interpersonal communication skills to work with customers and be a team player.
• Must have driver's license in good standing, no suspensions 
• Must be able to pass initial drug test and random drug tests
