Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Microwave Solutions is hiring a Swing Shift  Mechanical Assembler that will work in the Finishing area performing the following:

  • Chem-film preparation (manual sanding and machine sanding) and chem-film operation.
  • Chemical testing: solvent test, chem-film qualification test, etching, chemical mixing.
  • Conformal coating for PCB.
  • Epoxy potting and coating, preparation for painting and label-marking.
  • Working on label & marking, using label printer and silk-screen or hand stamping. 
  • Follows production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions with minimum supervision. Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of electronic assembly.
  • Uses hand and small power tools to place small components in boards, cables, connectors, etc. Inspect parts and performs basic tests.
  • May perform other assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
  • Will perform work under microscope.
  • Follows safety procedures in the use and handling of flammable and hazardous chemicals required to meet all cleanliness specifications.
  • Must be able to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely.
  • Ensures that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Records information on production records, logs and other report forms. 
  • Will be trained in Soldering to support housing and Sub-Assembly.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Able to work with manual and machine operation.
  • Able to read assembly drawings and instructions.
  • Able to work with chemical (marking inks, epoxies, or chemicals).
  • Able to use microscope, hand tools and fixtures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Flexible and willing to be trained in related jobs

Vocational or Technical Certificate in related field and a 5 plus years of experience years.  U.S. person.
