TESP designs, develops, qualifies and manufactures a variety of small, highly reliable products, which in many cases are intended to operate explosive devices such as EEDs (Electro-Explosive Devices), EB​Ws (Exploding BridgeWires), EFIs (Exploding Foil Initiators), and other similar devi​​ces. Product applications include Aircrew ​​Safety, Launch and Tactical Vehicles, and Energetic Devices.​​

TESP is an operating unit of Teledyne Technologies. TESP is located in Chatsworth, California, and has been manufacturing products since 1986.  

• Program quality support and customer interface
• Product failure investigation.
• Providing Production and inspection support
• Material review management (MRB, CCB)
• Disposition of customer returns and nonconforming material
• Internal audit support
• Maintain and improve QMS system
• Perform contract reviews, purchase order reviews, planning reviews and supplier data reviews, to ensure that quality requirements are captured and flowed down.
• Owner of Quality metrics: reporting, tracking required actions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in military/aerospace/aviation Quality engineering
• Experience with electronic and electromechanical assemblies
• Extensive experience in AS9100 or similar structured QMS environment.
• Must be able to lead structured problem solving and root cause corrective actions.
• Must be fluent with aerospace and military specifications and standards such as IPC-610 and J-STD-001.
• Ability to interpret and Engineering, Quality, Production and Manufacturing drawings including specifications, standards and procedures
• Must be able to define and implement basic quality statistics (run charts, SPC, sampling, etc)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (i.e. customer and supplier interface)
• Extensive familiarity and practical use of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to occasionally work weekends and evenings when needed for workload.

• Capability and Correlation Analysis
• DCMA/Gov’t Source Inspection
