You will participate in manufacturing effort to produce and test industry’s leading-edge test and measurement products for serial protocols technologies. You will work with multiple teams within our engineering team and across departments, including Product Management, Application engineering, and Validation teams. 

Through hands-on learning, interacting with peers and end-users, and mentoring, you will extend your expertise in serial data protocols and in our instruments that test and validate these protocols, enabling you to be part of a leading expert team in this field.

This position is a critical Operations Management and planning role within the Business Unit (BU) responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of a broad range of products. The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating all processes related to revenue and production planning including long term, annual, quarterly, and monthly factory production forecasts, as well as driving weekly production/revenue optimization processes.

1. Coordinate with Operations staff and Supply Planning on material availability and on time shipments.
2. Effectively manage customers’ orders, needs and expectations through the order fulfillment process to ensure customer orders are processed timely and efficiently.
3. Drives resolutions to issues which delay order shipments and meet on time delivery.
4. Oversees management of critical stock issues, shipping conflicts, special requests from customers and product transitions to deliver orders on-time and complete.
5. Assists Sr. Director of Operations in maintaining dashboards and recurring reports including updating weekly metrics and deliverables.
6. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly status reports as required
7. Monitor daily throughput and address any shortfalls to daily production plan.
8. Monitor inventory to ensure supply is sufficient to meet plan, participate in regular material planning meetings. Inform management of shortfalls or projected shortfalls in materials.
9. Communicates and interacts extensively with materials and inventory teams to ensure timely order shipment.
10. Monitors fulfillment activities and proactively manages exceptions related to inventory shortages.
11. Assist in developing the production build plan and the daily execution of the plan.
12. Help facilitate day to day production and support of operations.
13. Keep team informed, clearly communicate goals and objectives to subordinates and assist them as necessary in developing effective daily production plans.
14. Address manufacturing challenges by troubleshooting issues and providing solutions in a timely manner
15. Participate in determining and providing an optimum plan of operation, equipment, space requirements, and related facilities for assigned areas.
16. Collaborate with Planning, and Materials teams to drive supply according to demand
17. Create and clearly communicate supply schedules, priorities, and status to multiple internal supply teams and external stakeholders.
18. Monitor/review weekly production yields and shipment and act as a liaison and sound out early warning.
19. Develop metrics to drive continuous improvement of the manufacturing process
20. Help resolve manufacturing constraints to ensure accurate and consistent assembly and test performance
21. Assist in the resolution of supply chain issues impacting manufacturing as well as supplier feedback, selection, and technical assistance
22. Anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks and providing strategic solutions.

• 8+ years’ experience in Operations Management in a Micro-electronics manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Solid background in electronics assembly and test processes
• Proven record of analyzing manufacturing / support processes and driving continuous improvement
• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, develop targets and action plans and lead an organization to achieve results
• Identify and positively influence key stakeholders to enable proactive problem solving and resolution.
• Develop programs which improve quality and process efficiencies
• Proficiency developing metrics planning. Strong working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
• Demonstrated ability to monitor operations efficiently and effectively with excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• Results driven, analytical, self-motivated, detail oriented with ability to logically identify alternate solutions or approaches to complex problems
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management and team members.
• Project management and negotiating skills are a plus.
• Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Strong Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or similar experience
• Experience with ERP systems (BAAN preferred)
• Knowledge of manufacturing and product delivery processes.

Education

• Bachelor degree – a must
• Masters degree is a plus
