Position Summary and Responsibilities

The OEM Business Development Manager will manage and develop new and existing OEM customers.   The focus will be on developing and maintaining OEM relationships.  This will involve cross functional coordination with the global OEM team within Teledyne SciCam and occasionally Teledyne’s Digital Imaging segment.  This position may be based in our MA or NJ facilities or from a home office on either the East or West Coast.    

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop new business opportunities for Teledyne Acton Optics and FLIR products in the NAM Region with a focus on projects exceeding $500K in annual revenue.
  • Build strong long-term customer relationships with current and developing OEM Customers based on mutual strategic value and project support.
  • Bring a systematic approach to business development
  • Have strong business acumen to accurately scope projects and size opportunities.
  • Prepare all documentation for requests for proposals (RFPs) and include details of product requirement specific to OEM customer.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Teledyne products to obtain complete fluency in our technologies and solutions.
  • Work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Engineering as an internal customer champion.
  • Work across geographic boundaries as part of a team working with Multinational corporations
  • Assist in regional marketing efforts to strengthen pipeline of projects
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services based on analysis of Application trends

Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS degree (MS preferred) in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math) subject.At least 5+ years in a
  • Business Development, sales, or marketing role.
  • Detail oriented and persuasive
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in use of MS Office tools and CRM software
  • Must have appropriate Passports and be free to travel to countries, in full compliance with US and International law.
  • Additional consideration will be given to candidates who also have:
    • Experience with optical components, coatings, and assemblies
