Position Summary and Responsibilities

Summary: Provide technical support, in-house and on-site repair, and training for customers, Field Service Technicians, Sales Representatives and OEMs. Also provide feedback on the engineering and PRE-manufacturing of products. Service customers (internal and external) with sales activities, including price quotations, order entry, returns and availability.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answering application and service-related questions using troubleshooting methods derived from experience and knowledge of TAI systems
  • Developing and implementing all customer training courses
  • Responsible for training Sales Representatives and OEM accounts
  • Interaction with Research and Development, Manufacturing and Quality Control to relay problems and offer possible solutions
  • Ability to travel with short notice
  • Enter orders received via mail, fax, phone from customers, OEM distributors
  • Initiate and/or process return authorization for incorrect material ordered, shipped or received
  • Furnish customers with written quotations on products
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery, literature requests, etc., ensure customer satisfaction
  • Verify shipping and billing information on purchase orders
  • Responsible for achieving technical support's quality and productivity measurements.
  • Travel – 25% domestic travel

Education and/or Experience                                                   

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related laboratory experience and technical knowledge with GC, VOC and/or TOC and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills - The successful candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system being a plus.
  • Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
