Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Microwave Solutions is seeking a Manager of Configuration Management, Document Management, Document Control, and Engineering CAD Services.  In this role the candidate will manage the daily tasks and responsibilities of Document Control, Document Management, and CAD Services departments. 


Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing the hiring, development, training, and performance evaluation of the Document Control, Document Management, and CAD Services staff.
  • Generate Configuration Management (CM) Plans and provide CM support for all programs.
  • Working directly with engineering, quality assurance, operations, and program management.
  • Developing and maintaining Configuration Management and Document Control processes.
  • Owner of the electronic Document Management System (SolidWorks PDM Professional). Perform regular user training to all departments and maintain work instructions for system users.
  • Manage a team of CAD designers in support of engineering development and ongoing manufacturing.  
  • Ensure accurate transfer of data from the Document Management System to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (part master, Bill of Material, etc.).
  • Establishing and managing ITAR document processing. Ensure security of ITAR permission controls in the Document Management System.
  • Attending and supporting AS9100 compliance audits, and Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Providing guidance and training to company employees on document control policies and fostering compliance through knowledge dissemination.
  • Managing and maintaining documents storage off-site as required.
  • Maintaining standards and reference documents library for the Company.
  • Participating in continuous process improvement projects across the organization.


To be successful in this role, the following are required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience and at least 10 years of working experience in Configuration Management and Document Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Windows PC application software (MS Windows, MS Office, PDF generation)
  • Working knowledge of ERP Item Master database elements and BoM structures.
  • US citizen and able to attain Security Clearance

Preferred skills:

  • CM certification.
  • Experience / certification in use of SolidWorks PDM Professional
