The successful candidate will be a part of a team that are responsible for the assembly of packaged infrared detector devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assembly of small electronic components under microscope with the aid of hand tools
• Manually positions components by eye or with aid of alignment equipment
• Capping devices in controlled environment glove box
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule
• Reports defective materials and/or questionable conditions to supervision
• Maintains a log of material handled for tracing purposes
• Keeps work area, equipment and materials clean, organized and properly identified
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Minimum HS diploma; Post HS education with technical background is a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Exceptional manual dexterity
• Familiarity with ESD procedures
• Ability to keep clear and accurate written records
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency is needed
• Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices.

Experience in the following is a plus

• Reading and understanding drawings and written specifications
• Use of epoxy adhesives
• Manual wire bonding
• Use of a microscope for extended periods of time
• Ability to use a coordinate measuring equipment
