Position Summary and Responsibilities

The primary role of the Product Manager is to develop and translate customer jobs that utilize advanced scientific cameras and software into commercial products.  The Product Manager will manage all aspects of product life-cycle, including innovation, guiding product development, go-to-market plans, and enabling wins, to maximize customer satisfaction, revenue, and profit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements, perform market research and identifies and tracks market trends in company's industry.
  • Conducts marketing analysis and performs voice-of-customer research to develop product definitions
  • Coordinates and develops marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for product line
  • Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition
  • Identified partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden company's product line.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Manages day-to-day progress of product, including monitoring business performance, product technical performance, product quality and production issues, perform price management and drive profitability,
  • Develop marketing and sales collateral, provides sales support and training.
  • Provides technical expertise and training to customer service, MARCOM, and manufacturing in support of product development.
  • Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
  • Establishes dealer networks and creates and manages alliances with manufacturers.
  • Participates in key sales situations for the product.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in a Physical or Life Science field.  Advanced degree or equivalent research experience preferred. 

  • Addition of an MBA or related business degree is preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in related sales or marketing functions
  • 2+ years’ experience in biological imaging
  • Must be able to lead cross functional teams
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize.
  • Exhibit a strong bias for action
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Lawful permanent resident of the United States
