Position Summary and Responsibilities

Process Integration Engineer is a hands-on position for executing detector processing and process integration activities for fabricating high performance infrared and visible detector arrays. This position requires working together with the wafer processing team in the cleanroom to sustain performance, productivity and efficiency.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Process integration and wafer fabrication in wet and dry etching, annealing, photolithography, thin film, metallization, and microscopic inspection, critical measurements and die grading.
  • Process flow optimization, inline measurements, SPC data analysis, process development to improve production yield, quality and output
  • Collaboration with cross-area engineering teams to solve process integration issues and to improve detector designs, processing methods, and production capabilities.
  • Assurance of all processing performed per manufacturing procedures, work instructions and workflow and in compliance with safety, cleanroom procedures and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Working with Manufacturing Execution system (MES) for process data recording, reporting and tracking of production activities.

Qualifications & Competencies

                                               

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

 

  • Strong background in semiconductor manufacturing. Experiences in HgCdTe or Silicon device processing are highly desirable.
  • Proven experiences with design of experiments, statistical analysis and manufacturing process control.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to details and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and statistical software.
  • Exemplary business ethics and work routine cognizant of safe work practices

 

 Education and Experience

                                                 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Sciences or Chemistry with minimum 3 years of experience or Master Degree with minimum 1 years of experience
  • Semiconductor process engineering and integration experiences with good understanding of processing techniques, device performance and reliability
  • Training in cleanroom operation and laboratory practices, including ESD training for handling of sensitive semiconductor devices
