Teledyne Controls’ has an exciting opportunity for an Avionic Technician II to join our Manufacturing Test Group located in El Segundo, CA. Under general supervision, this position is responsible to ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100 by inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting equipment used on aircraft.

 

 Key Functions

  • Must be able to troubleshoot faults in electronic circuits using various types of test equipment e.g., Special Test Equipment "STE", Automated Test Equipment "ATE", data analyzers, microprocessors emulators, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
  • This position normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot to board/component level analog/digital with some assistance.
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes.
  • Must be able to read and interpret production illustrations (PI), component maintenance manual (CMM), wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Must be able to work with others as part of a team which includes giving and receiving feedback, assisting others in completion of tasks; possess interpersonal, listening, and participation skills.

Required                                                                                                                                                                                                   

  • Must have an AA degree or experience from either the military and or equivalent industry and a minimum of two years’ experience in equivalent industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, decimals, fractions, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • This position requires knowledge of Windows and Outlook
