Position Background and Scope
The U.S. Navy Surgeon General has outlined four key tenets for projecting medical power globally and ensuring the survivability of the force: People, Performance, Platforms, and Power. Together they form a holistic framework for the Navy Medicine community to carry out the Surgeon General’s strategic vision.
This position will work as part of a small team to provide direct analytic support to Naval Medical Forces Atlantic in Norfolk, VA. The team will coordinate with analytic teams supporting other regions and headquarter regions to ensure knowledge, learning, and best practices are shared across the organization. Analytic efforts may include modeling, statistical inference, machine learning, data visualization and dashboard development.
