Performs receiving, in-process, and final inspection of Microwave Power Amplifier Products in accordance with the requirements as defined within drawings, bills of material, procedures, schematics, industry standards, etc. Performs Electro-Mechanical Inspections of piece parts and assemblies. Performs First Article Inspections when required.
Is competent in the use of a variety of inspection tools and methods to accomplish visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections utilizing tools and equipment such as: Calipers, microscope, micrometers, connector gauges, pin & height gauges, dial indicator, go-no-go gauges, etc. Prefer familiarity of Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), Optical Comparator, or X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), but willing to train the right person.
Is familiar and competent in the inspection of various electronic parts and electronic assemblies: such as printed circuit boards, solid state amplifiers, FET’s, hybrid microcircuits, surface mount technology, ribbon bonding, wire bonding, and epoxy staking. Is familiar and has experience inspecting both active and passive products as in accordance with established industry standards such as Mil-Std-883, J-STD 001, and IPC-A-610.
Is competent in performing final inspection of product, including the review of product manufacturing, inspection and test data, product labeling, certifications of compliance and shipment data.
Provides support to production areas for quality issues and questions. At this level, tasks and assignments tend to be general but may involve complex and/or non-routine assignments and duties which are typically performed under limited supervision.

Education and/or Experience:
Vocational or Technical Certificate in related field and at a minimum of two to five years of directly related experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a directly related field.
