Company Overview

Teledyne RF & Microwave (Business Unit) is seeking a Site Controller in Mountain View, CA who is capable of providing financial guidance to Teledyne Microwave Solutions (TMS) Group and local leadership. This position is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of the financial management aspects of the Business Unit and will provide strategic financial input to the Business Unit General Manager and TMS Group. This position reports to the TMS Group Controller. The Controller is responsible for planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing results. He/she will work collaboratively with the TMS Group Controller and Business Unit General Manger to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies to meet the company's business and financial objectives.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • Primary activities include providing financial analysis and counsel to TMS Group Controller’s office, General Manager, Product Line Managers, and Proposal Pricing Team.
  • Work closely with General Manager to drive key initiatives in cost control/reduction, working capital/inventory reductions, process and ERP system improvements.
  • Ensure effective internal control structure and procedures are in place to meet SOX404 requirements.
  • Responsible for preparing reports and analysis of business trends, expenditures against budgets, inventory changes, product cost and progress on Margin Improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for month-end close and reconciliation of site inventory accounts and COGS, as well as determination of overtime revenue recognition and unbilled receivables.
  • Responsible for contributing to annual business plan, monthly forecasts and capital budgeting.
  • Review Estimates-at-Completion (EAC) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review and approve Progress Payments.
  • Prepare annual ICE submission.
  • Actively participates on Team to identify and implement ERP/IT system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Accounting and 15+ years of progressive finance experience directly related to Federal Government Contracting
  • MBA and CPA preferred
  • Knowledge of ASC 606
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards
  • Advanced expert level Excel skills
  • Self-starter, with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
