Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Battery Products is seeking a Shipping and Recieving Associate to is to process inbound and outbound materials while performing all shipping & receiving functions, where the ideal candidate will follow instruction(s) from each department lead and / or supervisor.assembling cells and other components in battery cases to complete the aircraft storage battery.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs all duties and functions of the receiving department to include: unpacking, sorting, operate the forklift to unload/load pallet size shipments, shelving packages according to date received, entering data in the system and insuring items received match the purchase order, check package for count and part number accuracy, reconcile any discrepancies, route all packages to next operation including mail pick up, sorting, and distribution.
  • The Shipping/Receiving Associate’s responsibilities also include a continuous interface with purchasing buyers to reconcile receipts, with receiving inspection, with finance and planners. He/she transacts and records all receipts daily.  
  • Performs all shipping functions including verification of all shipment documentation, determines the packaging requirements according to company procedures, performs packaging using Instapack machine, insures proper packaging, labeling and identification on all packages following ITAR, DOT/IATA regulations, determines method of shipping following written shipper directions, performs data entry to record transactions, and insures all packages are ready for pickup at predetermined deadlines.
  • Pull Raw materials and assist production departments ensuring items are staged in proper staging location.
  • Provide support in the daily Cycle Count of selected parts.
  • Ability to learn computer programs and perform data entry of transactions.
  • Understand warehouse procedures, i.e. FIFO methods, stock locations, including EHS support
  • Perform periodic inventory checks and notify materials management
  • Participate in Annual Physical Inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least a minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to learn and retain ITAR, HAZ MAT/Dangerous Goods IATA and DOT regulations.
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


  • Forklift certified a plus
