Teledyne is looking for an Industrial Facility Design Engineer with at least ten (10) years of experience designing industrial process facilities that utilize plumbing, valves, high pressure fluid systems utilizing large industrial piping, valves, high pressure tanks, as well as facility controls and data systems to run the facility.
The appropriate candidate must have experience with high pressure flow and high pressure gas storage tanks that are supporting the facility. 3D- CAD is required to support the facility layout and upgrades to the facility as required. This candidate will be responsible for facility concept drawings that will be used by our contractors to design and build the basic facility. This would include details like the routing of major plumbing of liquids and gases, electrical, access doors, land, power requirements coming into the building as well as how it is distributed within the facility.
The candidate will be working with internal and external stakeholders to include Prime / Sub Engineering teams, Subcontractors, Environmental, Safety and other external Department of Defense stakeholders to assure the facility is equipped to support testing of a wide range of needs.
Education and Experience
Active SECRET Clearance is preferred. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.
Fluid flow tool experience. Design of complex systems that would include mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, thermal, control and electric power. Experience with software tools such as OpenModelica, NASA’s Generalized Fluid System Simulation Program (GFSSP), CREO, Pro-E and/or other 3D-CAD experience.
Professional Energy Manager Certification strongly desired.
