    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Summary

     

    The Cryogenic Systems Engineer supports the development of Dewars for operational and test applications, leading the definition of requirements and working with suppliers to ensure delivery of compliant hardware.

     

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    ·         Define and document Dewar requirements

    ·         Coordinate design effort with supporting disciplines

    ·         Serve as technical point of contact for Dewar suppliers

    ·         Support develop verification and test plans

    ·         Verify performance of cryogenic test systems

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

                                           

    To perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following qualifications:

    • Experience designing cryogenic systems
    • Ability to generate clear, well-written documents
    • Experience performing stray light and/or cryogenic thermal analysis
    • US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain government security clearance.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    ·         Experience testing infrared imaging systems

    ·         Active Government Security Clearance

     

    Education and Experience

               

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or similar
    • 10 years experience in imaging, aerospace, semiconductor, or similar industry

     

    Citizenship Requirements

     

    Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.
