    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Summary

     

    The systems engineer supports programs in the development and production of focal plane arrays by coordinating with other disciplines to ensure that all requirements are met. An entry-level Systems Engineer works under general supervision, relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, while applying their own creativity and engineering judgment.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    ·         Assist in review, documentation, allocation, and verification of requirements

    ·         Support the development, maintenance, and validation of models and simulations

    ·         Perform and document design trade studies

    ·         Assist in the development of verification and test plans

    ·         Support test activities and review test data

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

                                           

    To perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following qualifications:

    • Ability to generate clear, well-written documents
    • Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data
    • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.

      

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Active Government Security Clearance
    • Familiarity with imaging systems, semiconductors, high-speed PCB design, or cryogenic testing

      

    Education and Experience

               

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or similar
    • At least 2 years of experience in imaging, aerospace, or semiconductor industries

     

    Citizenship Requirements

     

    Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.
