    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    The Assembly manufacturing Technician is a hands-on position for executing daily manufacturing activities of focal plane array (FPA) assemblies and package assemblies.

     

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    • Perform routine assembling and inspection of focal plane arrays and packages
    • Follow process travelers, work instructions and procedures
    • Understand and verify critical dimensions of hardware
    • Maintain manufacturing workflow and work instructions
    • Document and report promptly any nonconforming events in manufacturing
    • Recommend process improvements or changes as needed
    • Support manufacturing troubleshooting, equipment repair and hardware rework
    • Work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting
    • Be able to work flexible schedule and additional hours as needed

    Qualifications

    Qualifications & Competencies

                                                   

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

    • Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical measurements
    • Good observation and communication skills
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Ability to apply company policies and procedures to daily work and resolve issues
    • Exemplary ethics and business conduct and work cognizant of safe work practices

     

     Education and/or Experience                                               

    • High School Diploma with ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience or Associate’s Degree in a mechanical engineering field with seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience
    • Training in cleanroom operation and laboratory practices including ESD precautions for handling of sensitive semiconductor devices

     

    Citizenship Requirements

     

    Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.
