The Battery Engineer with three (3) or more years of related experience serves as a project engineer with a leadership role on Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) product development programs. . The ideal candidate will be a key team member in an R&D organization, developing next generation cell technology for high energy and high power applications. The successful applicant will develop, produce innovative cell designs using commercial, proprietary materials and technologies. The responsibilities of this position are develop processes, experimental models, prototypes for testing and develop procedure for manufacturing battery products. The successful candidate will be involved, but not limited to activities such as concept cell designs, implementing designs of experiments (DOEs), build prototypes, analyzing cell performance results and optimizing product in manufacturing environment. Expect to spend 20%-30% of your time on the manufacturing floor in supporting prototype fabrication and testing for design analysis and validation.
