    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Controls’ has an exciting opportunity as a Customer Repair Administrative Support in our Customer Repair Group located in El Segundo, CA. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for supporting and managing the incoming receiving and outgoing shipping functions to cover the workload between both the receiving/shipping functions and up with the daily flow of activities.  


    Key Functions

    • Facilitate the expeditious processing of incoming repairs for Repair Customer Service.
    • Able to provide coverage to both the incoming receiving and outbound shipping data entry functions.
    • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
    • Enter data into various databases, spreadsheets and other company maintained software.
    • Compare data with source documents or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
    • Store completed documents in electronic form (via scanning) and/or hard copy form in appropriate locations.
    • Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to Manager.
    • Maintain applicable logs.
    • Run and distribute reports as required.
    • Must be positive, proactive and cordial and remain calm and collected during high pressure situations involving co-workers, workload and inter-office demands.

     

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least three years’ of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel

     

    Preferred

    • MAPICS experience
