    Teledyne Controls is seeking an experienced Software Configuration Manager. This is a dual role position serving as ~20% functional management and ~80% configuration management on programs. The SCM Manager provides technical direction and guidance to other SCM personnel and functional groups within the organization. The SCM Manager is assigned as the focal  point in providing Engineering and associated software development projects within software configuration management services and SCM technical support as guided by the governing Configuration Management (CM) policies, processes, and procedures.


    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


    •  Development of Software Configuration Management Plans ﴾SCMPs﴿
    • Perform software captures, builds, and releases
    • Responsible for software source and change control activities
    • Manage SCM databases Perform software distributions and deliveries
    • Review technical documentation for SCM aspects
    • Produce Status Accounting ReportsPerform Software Configuration Audits

     Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Perform management duties such as monitoring of work performance, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, etc.
    • Serve as the management representative in meetings and discussions.
    • Assign Priorities within the department to ensure on‐time delivery
    • Participate and/or lead SCM related process improvement initiatives.
    • Coordinates, Delegates and Communicates.
    •  Organize and plan team meetings, discuss project logistics, assign duties, address concerns and troubleshoot problems.
    • Strong people skills and the ability to organize team members and delegate tasks are top requirements.





    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or least five(5) to ten(10) years’ of related experience and/or training.      
    • Minimum of (5) to (10) years experience using source control applications such as Git or IBM Rational Synergy and change management applications such as IBM Rational Change or JIRA.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Visio.
    • Knowledge in Windows and/or Unix/Linux platforms.
    • Travel required <10%


    • Configuration Management (CM) certification.
    • Experience in a AS9100/ISO 9001 environment.
