Imaging Sensors provides advanced imaging solutions for a variety of customers, including the DoD, NASA, prime system integrators, and commercial customers. In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical.    Other duties may be assigned.


    • Proposal Activity:
      • Review RFP documents and identifies and communicates key proposal parameters/requirements
      • Completes initial review of Terms and Conditions to identify risk areas in accordance with company procedures and coordinates mitigation plans with PM
      • Coordinates all proposal activities with PM & Pricing
      • Reviews proposals for RFP compliance, contractual documents e.g. (Reps & Certs, other certifications as required)
      • Coordinates appropriate Data Rights Assertion with PM, Engineering, Intellectual Counsel & Pricing
      • Submits Proposals and provides effective customer follow up
      • Monitors all proposal activity via Proposal Status Log
    • Negotiation Activity:
      • Terms & Conditions – Negotiates terms and conditions following Teledyne ” Policy and Procedure, reducing the business risk to the company
      • Leads price negotiations for Teledyne, coordinates whit the PM and Pricing negotiation team
      • Coordinates and orchestrates all fact finding, negotiation and price documentation to and from Customer
      • Ensures appropriate Management approvals in place for final acceptance
      • Initiates “Sweep” for TINA certification, if applicable, and submits TINA Cert
      • Works closely with Customer to resolve any discrepancies, obtains necessary approvals for acceptance, and signs and submits to Customer for countersigning
      • Performs Non-Disclosure Agreement Support


    • Contract Administration:
      • Upon receipt of a fully executed contract or a contract modification, initiates CIMD for Costpoint
      • Monitors contract during the execution phase to anticipate funding requirements, period of performance related issues, 75% notifications, and the potential for added scope
      • Partners with PM in contract execution and issue resolution meetings, customer communications, strategies of execution, change management control, modifications, deliveries (CDRL & hardware), and assists in billing/payment issues
      • Initiates Contract closeout activities including the submittal of appropriate “sweep” documents two (2) months before expiration of contract period of performance
      • Partners with technical staff, program managers and business management to include program control, pricing and executive management to ensure effective process
      • Requests or approves amendments to, or extensions of, agreements
      • Maintains contract status databases and contract file documentation
      • Reviews all correspondence concerning contracts and responds as necessary
      • Demonstrated ability to coordinate large, complex contract administration assignments, and to perform dispute resolution, cost & price analysis for award, change orders and claims in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and other Governmental regulations
      • Understands forward pricing rates, cost structure estimates of material, production costs, performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
      • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks, compiles and analyzes data and maintains historical information
    • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data



    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of the total Governmental DoD contracting process to include the FAR, DFARS, and NASA FAR supplement , demonstrated contract drafting skills and experience in reviewing and digesting contracts and identifying the parties’ contractual obligations
    • Ability to work in Multisite envioronment
    • Exquisite analytical, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
    • Must possess contract drafting ability, the ability to manage multiple priorities and to follow up on those priorities accordingly
    • Ability to negotiate complex agreements and communicate effectively with all parties both internally and externally
    • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
    • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong business relationships
    • Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in a fast paced, challenging environment
    • Solid business acumen accompanied by interpersonal savvy
    • Team oriented leadership skills
    • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree with ten (10) plus years of experience in planning, assessing and implementing change in a complex environment. 
    • Experience with FAR, DFAR and other Governmental regulations



    Other Qualifications:  

    • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance
