    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Responsible for the day-to-day production related technical issues, risk management, and coordination of work through various departments for fabrication of packages for focal plane arrays within Operations.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Coordinates work through various departments. Closely interacts with focal plane engineers, planners, packaging designers, and procurement to improve and facilitate production of packages for focal plane arrays and meet program requirements.
    • Works across departments to meet on time delivery of packages for focal plane arrays. 
    • Manages efforts in the development and execution of a risk management plan during fabrication of packages for focal plane arrays
    • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data

    Qualifications

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

     

    • Knowledge of design, development, and production of packages for all types of FPAs.
    • Knowledge of II-VI or III-V semiconductor materials and processes
    • Technical knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and semiconductor processing methods is highly desired
    • Experience in project management, risk assessment/management, cost account management, cost estimation and engineering planning is highly desired
    • Effective communication (written and verbal) of very complex ideas and the ability to communicate at any level of audience
    • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

     

    Education and/or Experience

                                                     

    • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering disciplines with five (5) years of experience.
    • Due to the programs this position will be supporting, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
