    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The ServiceNow Administrator/Developer position requires expert knowledge and experience with the ServiceNow platform. Responsible for all phases of design, development and documentation of programs, scripts, reports, procedures, interfaces and system configuration. This position provides guidance for day-to-day support and maintenance following best-practices. There are no direct management responsibilities, however, the position will act in a lead role on the applications team.

    • Implement modules of ServiceNow to support all ITIL processes inlcuding:  Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, and others
    • Lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure consistent product delivery in the ServiceNow environment
    • Work closely with business and IT teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for ServiceNow configuration, implementation and support. As new technologies emerge and impact ServiceNow, the ServiceNow Administrator is expected to analyze the impact quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new applications / environments with the existing ServiceNow setup.
    • Gather and document user and process requirements, functional requirements, and develop technical requirements. Develop workflow customizations and support the Service Desk team.
    • Experience developing and configuring ServiceNow modules: ITSM, Discovery, Orchestration, CMDB, etc.
    • Implement CMDB, specifically identify CIs (Manual / discovery), create and/or validate relationships, implement APIs for CI feeds into the DB, CMDB audits, conflict management of CMDB data, etc.
    • Facilitate and support the rollout of new versions of the application and enhancements in ServiceNow
    • Create and configure Business Rules, UI pages & Policies, UI Actions, Scripting and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
    • Provide guidance for day-to day support and maintenance, work with the functional team to develop solutions in ServiceNow and coordinate support and development efforts within the team
    • Supervise general support, administration and maintenance of ServiceNow platform and associated applications
    • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
    • Provide user training and user self-support documentation for ServiceNow, customized for implementations





    • 5+ years of experience working with ServiceNow development/administration
    • Expertise in ServiceNow starting with the Geneva release, up to and including Madrid and New York.
    • Knowledge/certification in ITIL to align ServiceNow with ITSM requirements is a must
    • Experience in ServiceNow Development, SACM (CMDB, Asset Management, Configuration Management)
    • Experience with developing and modifying ServiceNow workflows, forms, lists, business rules, UI components, web services, tables, and menus
    • Proven experience implementing and customizing a web architected, n-tiered enterprise application

    • Familiar with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST)

    • Expertise with JavaScript, XML, HTML

    • Integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems

    • Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production
