    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Buyer II will evaluate, select, negotiate, place, expedite, and provide technical liaison and otherwise administer a wide variety of procurement contracts of above average complexity, diversification or expense.

    This position involves the procurement of production materials used on a wide variety of programs, including NASA, DOD, DOE, and various related subcontracts.




    Requires a BS degree in a recognized field of engineering or business, or equivalent, plus three years’ experience in procurement activities.


    Ideal candidate will have experience with FAR Part 15 procurements and the requirements for compliant actions.  Successful negotiation skills required.  Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high demand environment with tact and professionalism.  Ability to read engineering drawings is highly desired.  Practical or theoretical background in business law or contracts desired.
