    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Position Purpose

    Provides hands-on development and production fabrication of infrared and optical sensor chip assemblies (SCAs) in flip-chip hybridization operation.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performs cleaning, measurement and inspection of sensor chip assemblies; verifies critical dimensions
    • Follows travelers, work instructions and procedures for all work performed on hardware
    • Promptly documents any nonconforming events that may occur during cleaning and/or inspections
    • Composes concise nonconforming report in quality management system
    • Inspects and cleans components at pre-hybridization
    • Evaluates parts in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements and prepares documentation as required
    • Recommends process improvements or changes as required for new designs and product optimization
    • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma with eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience or Associate’s Degree in a related field with seven (5) to ten (10) years of experience
    • Three (3) plus years of work related experience in microelectronic device fabrication
    • Training in laboratory practices including ESD precautions for handling of sensitive devices and appropriate handling of chemicals a plus

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to perform assembly tasks using a microscope
    • An understanding of metric and English measuring systems
    • Advance computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Good observation and communication skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to accurately follow procedures and diagrams
    • Skills and ability to operate complicated equipment like hybridizers, measuring systems, optical inspection systems, etcher, etc.
