    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne is now looking for a Quality Engineer to work with the product teams, specifically supporting our unique line of materials for electrochemical, thermoelectric and battery products. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide Quality Engineering support for new and existing products, working to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. The candidate will also have experience with implementing SPC methodologies in either a manufacturing or R&D environment.

     

                                                   

    Work Description:

     

    • Establish, document and implement quality control procedures to ensure the quality of manufactured products.
    • Review of drawings, procedures, test data and inspection records to specifications.
    • Provide vendor evaluations and audits, purchase requisition reviews, nonconformance reporting and related Material Review Board functions.
    • Perform occasional source inspection of purchased goods and services.
    • Create process routers and final documentation packages needed to meet project needs.
    • Support in-house Quality Management System activities and interface directly with the QC inspection team to perform product inspection and acceptance.
    • Assists with Quality Management, which includes ensuring that corrective and preventive action activity and that internal process audits are properly performed, documented, and completed in accordance with schedule requirements
    • Conduct internal audits for compliance to written procedures.
    • Interface with customer representatives to conduct routine project activities.
    • Establish, track and analyze process and quality metrics
    • Apply SPC methodologies to both R&D processes and established manufacturing lines (Measurement System Analysis, control charting, establishing control limits, etc…)

    Qualifications

    Qualifications Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field is required.
    • Minimum of 3-7 years Quality Assurance experience in an AS9100 certified Quality Management System or equivalent
    • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) is desirable
    • Experience with low volume/high value processes
    • Self-motivated and good problem solving skills
    • Good communication skills required
