    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Controls is seeking an experienced Systems/ Software Test Engineer who is passionate about design and innovation.


    The successful candidate will support the plans and build our organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software. In this role the Systems/ Software Test Engineer will analyze, develop, modify, and test the system. Diagnose problems and provide recommendations for improvement on new and existing systems.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


    • Assist in the designs and requirements for new software systems, new system configurations, sub-systems, software and products in support of projects and programs.
    • Attend design reviews of requirements implementation.
    • Assist in customer proposal development with system definition and functional requirements.
    • Assist in prototype development of new systems, new system configurations, software and products.
    • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and debugging of designs.
    • Support communication of system requirements for systems, new system configurations, sub-systems, software and products both internally and externally with the customer.
    • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.



    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Sciences with strong computer skills and excellent written/oral communication skills with 5+ years of system engineering or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Hands-on experience with development, integration and production testing.
    • This position may require domestic or international travel (<10%).


    • Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
    • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
    • Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)
