    Position Summary and Responsibilities



    Applies knowledge of engineering principles to researches, plans, and designs microwave wire harnesses and components. Researches, plans, and designs tooling fixtures and processes to build microwave wire harnesses and components. Also designs experiments, creates test and acceptance plans. Analyzes data from experiments. 

    Works on routine problems of limited scope. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Contact with others is primarily internal.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


    • Perform calculations and conduct engineering analysis
    • Make CAD Drawings, create bills of materials, and routers.
    • Set up and carry out experiments to characterize performance with assistance from engineers and testers.
    • Assist production employees with assembly of complicated parts and selection of material.
    • Design Tools and fixtures.
    • Create and modify assembly procedures.
    • Interface with vendors on technical issues
    • Interface with sales, production, and purchasing on technical issues
    • Other activities as may be required

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 0-2 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Language Skills:  

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply trigonometry, calculus and statistics for design, analysis and problem solving.


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should be knowledgeable in using software conducive to presenting analytical results, such as charts, graphs, and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.


    Physical and Mechanical Ability:

    To perform this job successfully, the person should have ability to use basic hand tools and meters as well as to move and lift objects of up to 40 lbs.


                                 Other Essential Duties

    Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.


                                 Other Skills and Abilities

    • Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 desirable
    • Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…) desirable
    • Experience using CAD software to create drawings desired
