    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking a Welding Engineer responsible for all facets of qualifying, certifying and maintaining welding procedures and welder qualifications in a Nadcap certified shop governed by AWS, ASME and NAVSEA welding codes using conventional welding processes in various Quality Systems. 


    Duties include generating all necessary paperwork to qualify welding procedures and certify welders including test joint design, material and filler metal specification, authoring SOW’s for coupon testing and WPS’s and PQR’s.  Also responsible for specifying proper WPS (s) and filler metal to be used for all welding performed throughout the shop.   


    Other duties include oversight of all welding supplies PO’s, audit participation and customer submittal.


    Requires a degree in engineering or physics or approximately seventeen years concentrated technical experience in a specialized area. Must include at least eight years in responsible positions involving analysis, design, development, or test. However, assignments are primarily made on the basis of demonstrated technical and leadership ability.
