    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Senior Technical Specialist will perform Senior level manufacturing engineering tasks on complex hardware and systems under strict quality systems on DOD, DOE, NASA and commercial programs.

     

    Tasks include part master, BOM and router entry into our MRP system, creation of work instructions and shop routings for harness/cable, enclosure and chassis fabrication and assembly work based on drawings and/or models, Quality and Contract requirements. 

     

    Additional tasks include:

    • Problem resolution
    • Change control
    • Process improvement
    • Schedule input
    • Drawing review and approval
    • Fixture and tooling design
    • Author SOW’s and process specifications. 

    Qualifications

    Education: 

     

    Requires approximately twelve (12)  years concentrated technical experience, or the equivalent in combined education and experience, including at least four years in responsible positions involving analysis, design, development, or test.  However, assignments are primarily made on the basis of demonstrated technical and leadership ability.

     

    Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and routinely communicating with electronic techs, QA and assembly personnel along with interfacing with design engineering and program management.  Drawing interpretation skills and knowledge in electrical/electronic fabrication standards required, MS Office suite expertise needed, experience in Epicor and estimating experience is a plus. 

     

    A self-starting, team oriented individual is a must.
